Peter Okoye of the acclaimed Nigerian music group P-Square was live in concert last night Thursday, June 23, 2016 into the early hours of today June 24, 2016 and his performances were proper and satisfying. The event took place at the Hard Rock Café, Oniru, Lagos and was teeming with guests and fans alike, all keenly ready to catch the energetic displays of the entertainer. Overall, the show wasn’t any different compared to many Nigerian concerts we have come to experience over time because the organizers didn’t stick to set time.
A gig that was billed to hold at 8pm according to promotional materials didn’t gain momentum until 11.15pm, a situation that left many a person unsettled for a bit in the late hours of the night as they waited with bated breaths, some wondering if Peter was still coming through and others totally uncertain of what was next. In this tepid state of mind, the guests sipped their margaritas and beers in little whispers, anxieties and enthusiasms heavily written on their faces.
